🏆 16 TEAM SHOWDOWN — LEG 3
TOURNAMENT RULES & FORMAT

1. TEAM COMPOSITION

• Each team consists of 2 players.
• Maximum of 16 teams per division.
• Registered partners are final unless a substitution is approved by the organizers before the tournament begins.

2. DIVISIONS & ELIGIBILITY

🏓 NOVICE MEN’S
DUPR Doubles Rating: 2.99 & Below

🏓 LOW INTERMEDIATE MEN’S
DUPR Doubles Rating: 3.00–3.49

• Both players must qualify for their registered division.
• Unrated players are subject to organizer review and approval.
• After Court reserves the right to review DUPR ratings, tournament history, and known playing level to maintain fair competition and prevent sandbagging.

3. TOURNAMENT FORMAT

• 16 teams will be divided into 4 brackets of 4 teams.
• Each bracket will play a Round Robin.
• Teams will be ranked based on their results after the elimination round.
• Qualifying teams will advance to the knockout stage until the Championship Match.
• Final bracket assignments will be announced by the organizers.

4. MATCH FORMAT

• Rally scoring to 11.
• 15-minute time cap per match.
• If a team reaches 11 before the time cap, the match ends.
• If the time expires before either team reaches 11, the team leading when the match officially ends wins.
• On 10-10, win by serve. No deuce.

5. BRACKET RANKING & TIEBREAKERS

Standings will be determined in the following order:

1️⃣ Win-Loss Record
2️⃣ Point/Score Quotient
3️⃣ Head-to-Head
4️⃣ Organizer-approved final tiebreaker, if still necessary

6. GAME SCHEDULE

• Teams must be ready when their match is called.
• Players are responsible for monitoring the tournament schedule.
• Failure to report on time may result in a walkover/default at the organizers’ discretion.
• Matches may start earlier or later depending on tournament flow.

7. TIMEOUTS & COURT CHANGE

• Each team is allowed 1 timeout per match, subject to the tournament time-cap rules.
• Teams will change ends at 6 points.

8. OFFICIATING & SPORTSMANSHIP

• Players must respect opponents, officials, organizers, and venue staff.
• Unsportsmanlike conduct, deliberate delays, cheating, or abusive behavior may result in a warning, point/game penalty, or disqualification.
• Decisions made by tournament officials regarding match administration are final.

9. REGISTRATION

• Registration Fee: ₱950 per player.
• A slot is confirmed only after completing the required registration and payment process.
• Entry fees are non-refundable.
• Player substitutions may be allowed before the tournament, subject to organizer approval and division eligibility.

10. ORGANIZER’S AUTHORITY

After Court reserves the right to make reasonable adjustments to brackets, schedules, court assignments, and tournament procedures when necessary to maintain fair competition and smooth tournament operations. Any significant changes will be communicated to the players.
